Find Us Lost is designed to inspire and inform your travels by featuring curated guides, unique destinations and experiences around the world. I hope to encourage your own life of travel.

In 2016 I took a leap of faith and decided to trade my life in California for an adventure abroad. I was working in Los Angeles at the time and it had always been a dream of mine to live in Europe. I convinced my then boyfriend, Jacob (now husband), to move abroad with me. We began with a three-month road trip through Europe, promising friends and family we’d share photos of our travels on Instagram before we relocated to Amsterdam. That decision kicked off a series of life-changing events that completely transformed my life and ultimately led me to create Find Us Lost.

Twelve countries and six thousand kilometers later, I launched the Find Us Lost website. During the process of planning our initial road trip, I was struggling to find a source of inspiration that combined beautiful photos with the information I needed to plan our stops. I decided this blog would focus on visual travel guides specifically designed to both inspire and inform people’s travels.

I originally planned to find a job abroad, but that never happened! While sharing our story on Instagram, we started traveling more and more. Instead of spending the majority of our time in Amsterdam, we were always on the road: improving our photography, sharing guides from the cities and countries we were exploring, hunting for unique destinations, creating videos together, meeting other like-minded travelers, and so much more.

We tied the knot in 2017 in Kauai, steps from where Jacob proposed to me after we first left for our adventure. In 2018 I finally made the leap to being full-time with my website and photography business. I was terrified at first; but it’s turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made. My passion for inspiring others to keep traveling seems to grow more each day and with each new destination I visit.

We relocated to New York City in late 2019, but given the timing in early 2020, it didn’t work out for us. We moved back to Amsterdam where I had my first son in early 2023. Finally, we decided to settle in New England, a little over an hour into NYC from our home base in Connecticut. Now we split time in between Connecticut and Amsterdam.

It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life starting a blog, and I’m still learning from it every day. I never knew that my passion for travel would lead to such a positive lifestyle change — one that seemed completely unattainable to me only a few years ago! I hope my story inspires you to pursue your ideal life of travel, whether that means frequent weekend trips or becoming location independent.
