I would go for Milos for the whole time! Breaking it up just means you will see less, and there is a ton on Milos to explore (plus, September is less crowded then peak season so a nice time to go).

My fiance and I are traveling to Greece for our honeymoon this September. We are going to Santorini for 2 nights but then have 4-5 other nights for another island. I’m wrestling with doing Milos and Naxos for those nights, or just doing Milos and spending the time there to discover the island. What would be your advice on this? I’m really torn and know each island is amazing!! Just want to be smart with our timing and see the things 🙂

I’d personally focus on Milos and Paros, or just Milos (I stayed 6 nights in Milos and it was the perfect amount of time). Milos will have the most diversity in beaches, Paros will offer you plenty of great restaurants and sandy beaches as well.

We only have 6 nights to spend in the Greek islands and want to get the most out of our stay. Looking for a classic Greek island getaway with beautiful colorful buildings, beaches and food. I’d love to include Milos for the beaches and was thinking Mykanos and Paros (or one or the other). We could fly directly into Mykanos from Italy and then ferry to other locations. We need to get back to Athens for our international flight home too, so a bit nervous about cancelled ferries or flights. Any other combinations would be appreciated.

Your blog is helping tremendously! Thank you so much.

My husband and I are planning this all super last minute and stress level a wee bit high as most places are taken by now.

The plan is fly to Athens, Milos (5), Naxos (3), Paros (5) with day trip to Antiparos.

I was able to find a cute place near your Milo’s rec. do you have any recommendations for Athens stay? Is it worth it? I have mixed reviews. Mainly going bc we fly in and out of there and husband would like to see the history for a day.

We are going the first two weeks in September bc we were worried about the last two weeks in October being closed off and rainy with limited accommodations. Though, the remoteness of that sounded wonderful, we were worried most things would be closed.

Any help with Athens, and overall check of our itinerary order would be awesome. We’re huge beach goers, local eats, love to wonder around and explore. Trying to avoid night life but indulge in good eats and drinks. Just overall relaxing vacation in the sun.

I loved Milos so would choose it over Naxos, but you can’t go wrong with either! And Naxos is a very short ferry ride (20-30 min) from Paros. Crete is large and would be tough to include with this itinerary because of ferry routes.
